Red String Club ("we", "us", "our") is a fractional CMO consultancy based in London, United Kingdom. Red String Club is the trading name of [Manisha.V], a sole trader.

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit redstringclub.com, contact us, subscribe to our newsletter, book a call, work with us or buy our digital products, and how we use and protect it.

We are the data controller for your personal data. If you have any questions, email us at hello@redstringclub.com.

1. What we collect

Information you give us

• Contact and enquiry forms: your name, email address, company name and anything you choose to tell us in your message.
• Newsletter sign-up: your name, email address, company name and your marketing preferences.
• Booking a call: your name, email address, company and the time you book.
• Working with us: business contact details, billing details and information you share during an engagement.
• Buying a digital product: your name, email address, billing address and order details. Payment card details are processed securely by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically

• Device and usage data: your IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, time on site and the page that referred you.
• Cookies and similar technologies: see section 7.

2. How we use your data, and our legal basis

Under UK and EU data protection law (UK GDPR and EU GDPR), we must have a legal basis for each use of your data.

We don't sell your personal data, and we don't make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.

3. Digital products

When you buy a digital product, such as the AI Visibility Blueprint and its accompanying workbook, we use your details to:

• process your payment and send your receipt
• deliver your download link by email
• provide customer support and handle any refund requests
• tell you about important updates to the product you bought

If you tick the box to join our newsletter at checkout, we'll also send you marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time. Buying a product doesn't automatically sign you up for marketing.

4. Who we share your data with

We only share your data with trusted service providers who help us run the business. They may only use it to provide their service to us.

• Shopify: website hosting, checkout, orders and payments
• HubSpot: forms, customer relationship management, newsletter emails and meeting bookings
• Payment processors (for example Shopify Payments, Stripe or PayPal): processing payments securely
• Microsoft (Outlook / Microsoft 365): business email
• Google Analytics: website usage statistics, only with your consent
• Professional advisers such as our accountant, where needed

5. International transfers

Some of our providers store or process data outside the UK, including in the European Economic Area, Canada and the United States. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your data.

6. How long we keep your data

• Enquiries that don't lead to work: up to 2 years from our last contact
• Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe, then only as a suppression record so we don't email you again
• Clients and customers: for the length of our relationship, plus 6 years for tax and accounting purposes
• Website analytics: usually up to 26 months, depending on the tool's settings

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences and understand how visitors use it.

• Essential cookies are needed for the site and checkout to work. These are always on.
• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
• Marketing cookies (HubSpot) help us understand which pages our contacts visit, so our communication is relevant.

We only set analytics and marketing cookies if you accept them through our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you
• correct inaccurate data
• ask us to delete your data
• restrict or object to how we use it
• receive your data in a portable format
• withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it
• object to direct marketing at any time

If you're in California or elsewhere in the United States, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, including the right to know what we collect and to request deletion. We don't sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioural advertising as defined by those laws.

9. Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, or to the data protection authority in your own country.

10. Security

We use reputable providers with strong security measures and limit access to your data to people who need it. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

11. Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and professionals. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
